WPAS Becomes DRW Washington Protection & Advocacy System
Pursuing justice on behalf of people with disabilities on matters related to their human, legal, and civil rights.
Promoting Dignity, Equality and Self-Determination.
http://www.disabilityrightswa.org/
As part of a national trend in the Protection and Advocacy network, effective June 1, 2007 WPAS changed its name to Disability Rights Washington.
As DRW, our agency will continue to operate as our state's designated Protection and Advocacy system.
DRW will also operate under the same federal mandates to serve people with disabilities throughout the State of Washington.
Parts of this website will remain under construction as we complete the shift from WPAS to DRW. Thank you for your patience as we work through this exciting transition!
If you are looking for information and cannot find it here, please see our old website at www.wpas-rights.org .
This site is dedicated to Alexis, Arionna and Carey from the extreme loss and pain their family had to go through due to lack of imformation in hopes that it can help save other families who will be going through a TBI
